Delete your Kindi account
You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
What happens when you delete your account
- Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days from the request — you can cancel during that window by signing in.
- After 30 days we hard-delete: your profile, parent ↔ child links, messages you sent, photos you uploaded, attendance records you reported, and notification history.
- Your child's records (attendance, daily reports, observations, medical profiles) remain with the school as part of the school's own records — you'll need to ask the school directly if you want those removed.
What we have to retain
- Invoice and payment records are retained for 5 years for SARS / tax compliance, with personal identifiers minimised.
- Unpaid balances remain owed to your school. Deleting your Kindi account does not cancel any outstanding tuition or event fees — the school still has the record and may follow up with you directly.
- Audit logs of significant actions are retained for security investigations, with your name redacted.
If you can sign in
Parents: Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account, or use this link: Parent — delete my account.
School admins: Sign in to the admin portal and go to Settings → Delete Account: Admin — delete my account. Heads-up: if you're the only admin and your school has an active paid subscription, you'll be asked to cancel the subscription first so the school doesn't keep being billed.
Teachers: Teacher accounts are managed by your school's admin. Ask your admin to remove you from the staff list, or use the public form below if you can no longer reach them.

Submit the form below and we'll process the request manually. We reply to every request within 5 business days using the email you provide.
